Our home is a stunning 250-acre farm in Millbrook, NY, located an hour and a half from New York City. Dating back to 1797, Higher Ground Farm has been updated with an eye for preserving its beautiful, period architecture yet includes all the modern amenities of a top-class horse facility. Training is offered in a fun, relaxed yet professional atmosphere.
The Farm features two classically beautiful barns housing 23 12’ x 12’ matted stalls with windows and Dutch doors, 6 grooming/wash stalls with hot and cold water, a heated Rider’s Lounge with WiFi and two heated Tack Rooms. Both barns are equipped with fire and security systems.
Our spacious 80’ x 170’ indoor arena boasts state of the art footing, automatic watering system, ventilation fans and mirrored walls. Outdoors there are two Grand Prix fields and a sand ring all with fabulous footing. For those who wish to practice over natural obstacles, there is a 50-acre Grand Prix field with replicas of the Derby Field jumps at Spruce Meadows. When not taking instruction, you and your horse will enjoy riding out over the 200 acres of wooded, maintained riding trails that surround the farm.
